ATLANTA — With its offense struggling, Alabama’s special teams units are doing serious work against Florida in the SEC championship game.
Early in the first quarter, freshman Keith Holcombe broke through to block a Gators punt through the end zone, giving the Crimson Tide a 2-0 lead at the Georgia Dome.

After Florida’s offense began moving the ball, senior defensive lineman D.J. Pettway broke through the Gators line and blocked a 40-yard field goal attempt.

The Tide held a 2-0 lead through the end of the first quarter, but Florida collected 83 net yards to Alabama’s 38.
