Alabama is the No. 1 team in the country, but that doesn’t mean everything has gone its way this season.
Two weeks ago in a victory against Texas A&M, the Crimson Tide lost one of their most dynamic players when Eddie Jackson suffered a broken leg on a punt return. Today, for the first time since the injury, Alabama fans had a chance to give Jackson the appreciation he deserves.
After a bye week, the Tide have traveled to Baton Rouge for tonight’s game against LSU in a showdown between SEC West powers. Jackson, a senior, made the trip with the team, and he got a warm welcome from the fans, who chanted “Eddie! Eddie!” after Jackson stepped off the Alabama bus:

Though he won’t be taking the field tonight, perhaps Jackson’s presence on the Alabama sideline will give the Tide an extra shot of adrenaline as they look to send him out with another national title.
