Alabama true freshman QB Jalen Hurts has more than just a strong arm.
Hurts enrolled at Alabama in January, and doesn’t seem to have had any problem in the weight room. In a video from AL.com, Hurts is seen squating 500 pounds and deadlifting 565 pounds.
Hurts was a 4-star recruit from Channelview, Texas, in the 2016 class. He was the nation’s No. 3 dual-threat quarterback and the No. 25 prospect in the state, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. While he isn’t expected to play this season, he may already be the strongest player in the quarterback meeting room.
The video continues this week’s trend of impressive weightlifting videos from SEC West players. Arkansas running backs Kody Walker and Rawleigh Williams both squatted over 600 pounds Thursday night.
