Before Monday night’s national championship game between Alabama and Clemson, former Crimson Tide quarterback Greg McElroy declared that the most physical team always wins in title matchups. We’re not sure who’s leading that category through the first half, but we certainly know who won on the play you’ll see below (courtesy of SEC Country film guru Trevor Sikkema).
After taking a trick-play pitch from Calvin Ridley, ‘Bama senior running back Kenyan Drake dashed his way toward the left sideline with the help of a massive block from sophomore offensive tackle Cam Robinson, who simply levels unsuspecting Tigers safety T.J. Green.
It’s that type of mentality in the trenches that has Alabama playing for its fourth championship since 2009 in Glendale, Ariz. We’ll know if this year’s group has enough to win it soon enough.
My god, Cam Robinson. That man has a family https://t.co/m0zry1K22V

And that wasn’t even the only highlight-reel Crimson Tide block of the half.
