Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson, for all their quirks and flaws, are a staple of the SEC football experience. But that doesn’t mean the SEC shouldn’t experiment with new broadcasters.
For instance, what if British soccer commentators called the Crimson Tide’s 49-10 blowout over Tennessee from Week 7? Alabama fan Benjamin Smith decided to show everyone what that would sound like, sharing the video below on Facebook.
The clip shows highlights from the Crimson Tide’s dominating win dubbed with commentary from Germany’s 7-1 victory over Brazil in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Smith also added “The Sound of Silence” by Simon & Garfunkel as background music, as if Tennessee fans weren’t sad enough already.
