The organizers of the upcoming Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game between Alabama and Florida State have dubbed it the “G.O.A.T.” or The Greatest Opener of All Time.
That doesn’t seem like a reach in the slightest.
An official hype video, which is awesome, has been released just in case fans across the country aren’t already jacked for a matchup featuring what many expect to be two of the best teams in the country in Week 1.
The video was released on Thursday afternoon from the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl’s official Twitter account.

The video begins with audio from legendary coaches of both storied programs, Paul “Bear” Bryant and Bobby Bowden. It then transitions to audio from current coaches Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher.
The matchup pits the No. 1 (Alabama) and No. 3 (Florida State) teams in the country, according to the coaches poll that was released exactly a week ago.
If the Tide and Seminoles are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the AP preseason rankings, it would mark the first opener featuring the top two teams in history, according to the organizers. Furthermore, Alabama (86 wins) and Florida State (78 wins) are the two winningest programs in college football since 2010.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on Sept. 2 and will be televised on ABC. It will also be the first college game played in the newly-built Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
