As television rightsholder for the Alabama-Mississippi State game on Saturday, ESPN gets first crack at a postgame interview.
The Crimson Tide had just blown out the Bulldogs and ArDarius Stewart was a natural fit for an interview after a big game. What happened next was a lot of confusion.

ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe asks Stewart a question, then he looks up and just walks away from the interview.
It just looks like a big misunderstanding. The man in the coat and tie is likely a sports information director for Alabama in charge of coordinating player and coach interviews for different outlets. As Rowe goes over to Saban, you can see the Alabama head coach wants to make sure that Stewart has a chance to say his piece because Rowe responds with, “Yes, we’re finished.”
Rowe remains professional and unfazed by the ordeal, it’s just unfortunate Stewart didn’t get his moment in the sun for some reason. He certainly deserved it after after tying a school record.
He finished Saturday with eight catches for 156 yards and three touchdowns.
