The former Alabama golfer knocked down a ridiculous putt during the U.S. Open, holing one on No. 5 that took an incredible path to the cup.

The birdie moved Thomas to 4-under for the tournament at Erin Hills. Four leading players – all tied at 7-under – will tee off later on Saturday. Thomas, with a 31 on the front nine, has moved into a tie for the lead.
Thomas won a national championship at Alabama in 2013 and was the Haskins Award winner in 2012 for most outstanding collegiate golfer.
