Derrick Henry practically lived in the end zone while at Alabama, tallying a Crimson Tide-record 28 rushing touchdowns during last year’s Heisman Trophy season. But scoring has been a little harder for the freakish tailback since he joined the Tennessee Titans.
On Thursday night, however, Henry ended his seven-game scoring drought against the Jacksonville Jaguars, running for his first NFL touchdown in the nationally-televised game. As usual, he made it look all too easy as he beat the opposing defense around the edge and strolled into the end zone untouched.
That’s a huge moment for any NFL rookie, and it’s sure to be for Henry. In his first seven games as a pro, he has run the ball 37 times for 161 yards.
