Florida Atlantic fans have to be feeling pretty great given that they just saw their team win Conference USA. But they might be a little too confident.
Lane Kiffin, former Alabama coach brought up that the fans where cheering “We want Bama.” Kififn then joked in the post game press conference that they don’t in fact actually want Alabama.

Then a reporter followed up about potentially playing Alabama in a bowl game. Kiffin would love it, but there’s a caveat.
“Oh I would love to play Bama,” Kiffin said. “I’d feel sorry for our players but I would love to play Alabama.”
Kiffin has the Owls on a 9-game winning streak and did not lose a game to a Conference USA opponent all year. Alabama likely won’t play FAU in a bowl game, but think of how much fun it would be to watch Lane go up against Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.
Florida Atlantic went 10-3 this season after going 3-9 last year. It was quite a turn around for the Owls under Kiffin.
