It’s pretty clear that Minkah Fitzpatrick and Nick Saban have a special bond. So much so that Fitzpatrick is able to get Saban to crack a smile.
On a day where the Alabama football team’s latest national title was celebrated with a parade, the All-America safety got Saban to sing along as the famous Queen song We Are The Champions played.
As players took in the moment, they swayed from side-to-side and sang along. At the start, Saban was among them. But then Fitzpatrick put his arm around Saban and got the coach to partake.

Saban now has six national titles, with five of them coming at Alabama. Fitzpatrick, along with Rashaan Evans, who also took got Saban to crack a smile, will both be moving on to the NFL and are pegged to be top NFL draft picks in April.
But Saban will still return a loaded team, potentially led by freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The youngster led Alabama to a comeback 26-23 overtime win over Georgia in the national title game. Alabama opens up the 2018 season and its title defense on Sept. 1, when it takes on Louisville in Orlando, Fla.
