George Teague running down Lamar Thomas in the 1993 Sugar Bowl is one of the more iconic plays in Alabama history. And there was a play in Sunday’s game that was erly similar to it.
In the fourth quarter of New England’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Patriots ran a trick play and running back Dion Lewis had a ton of room to run. The problem was that Myles Jack wsa on the field.
Jack, just like Teague, chased down Lewis and stripped the ball to force a huge turnover.

It problay wasn’t a touchdown likes Thomas’ would’ve been, but it was still a great reason to watch this play again.
And naturally, a number of people on Twitter called it out right away.
George Teague'd him. https://t.co/eoibMnDLVl
