DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — Aaron Robinson wasn’t the most highly-rated member of Alabama’s No. 1 ranked 2016 recruiting class, but the 6-foot-1, 185-pound cornerback signee is out to prove he’s way more valuable than some apparently think.
Robinson has the length and cover skills of a shutdown cornerback, but is also physical against the run, having played safety early on during his high school career.
As a senior at Deerfield Beach High School, Robinson recorded 41 tackles and four interceptions. According to his high school coaches, Robinson had just one pass completed on him all season — a pass they say was tipped and should have been intercepted. The receiver was Ohio State signee Binjimen Victor out of Coconut Creek in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
In a light-hearted interview with SEC Country, Robinson revealed his favorite memory with Alabama coach Nick Saban during the recruiting process, which superpower he’d like to have (in honor of the release of Captain America: Civil War) and more.
