Alabama LB Ryan Anderson committed a boneheaded first-half penalty to help extend what turned out to be an Ole Miss touchdown drive.
But he more than the made up for it early in the second half. The senior chased down Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly and stripped him of the football. Alabama defensive lineman Da’Ron Payne scooped up the loose ball and got into the end zone to tie the game.

The touchdown was the 50th non-offensive touchdown of the Nick Saban era at Alabama. It also marks 21 unanswered points for Alabama, who have now tied the game against Ole Miss at 24. Eddie Jackson returned a punt for a touchdown shortly before halftime to cut the lead to 24-17.
