FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Welcome to SEC Country’s daily Arkansas Razorbacks podcast. In this episode, John Nabors gives his worst case scenario for Arkansas in 2017.
SEC Country launched the Borderline Erotic Podcast on Aug. 29, 2016. It is named after the colorful way Bret Bielema described how he felt after Arkansas beat Texas in the 2014 Texas Bowl.
Here is a quick rundown of some of the topics we discussed in the 199th episode of the Borderline Erotic Podcast:
What would be the ‘nightmare season’ for Arkansas?
John opens the podcast by discussing the worst case scenario for the Razorback football season. Last podcast, John made the case for Arkansas winning the SEC West, so this time he decided to discuss the other side of the argument.
Expectations aren’t too high for the Hogs by most people’s standards. Having a record of 6-6 or worse would be considered a failure. On paper, the schedule sets up nicely for Bret Bielema’s Razorbacks. But as we have seen in the past, things can change quickly during the season. How bad could it possibly be in 2017 for Arkansas?
Nonsense: Make youth sport’s competition great again
In the nonsensical part of the podcast, John brings up the latest nonsensical story of a video circling on Twitter of “ball-less soccer” in youth sports. Basically a parody video where competition is looked at as a negative aspect of youth participation sports. John gets up on his soapbox and tells why competition is the best thing for kids to have in their lives.
