Welcome to SEC Country’s daily Arkansas Razorbacks recruiting notebook. This time, we discuss 4-star target Brad Stewart, preferred walk-on Tommy Kujawa and more.
4-star DB to visit Arkansas
New Orleans 4-star defensive back Brad Stewart will officially visit Arkansas this weekend, he confirmed to SEC Country.
Stewart (6-foot, 194 pounds) is the No. 22 cornerback and No. 159 overall recruit in the class. He has 40 reported offers, with Florida believed to be the favorite. He announced the Gators along with Arizona State, Kansas, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech and Southern Cal as his top choices last month.
When he announced those schools, he told SEC Country’s Zach Abolverdi it was difficult to eliminate Arkansas from his list.
“I had a great relationship with the coaches, but I just felt that wasn’t the best spot for me to put on as a DB and get known,” Stewart said of the Razorbacks.
The Hogs are expected to host 13 recruits on official visits this weekend. Stewart is one of six defensive backs among the visitors and one of three at the position who are currently uncommitted.
Preferred walk-on target Kujawa set to visit
Arkansas preferred walk-on target Tommy Kujawa will also be in Fayetteville this weekend for an official visit.
Kujawa (6-3, 220) missed all of his junior season at Greendale (Wis.) High School with a knee injury. A dislocated elbow kept him sidelined for half of his senior season in 2016 at Greendale. He told SEC Country he is also looking at Iowa, Illinois State, Northern Illinois and North Dakota.
The Razorbacks are recruiting Kujawa as a tight end/H-back, similar to the position played by Austin Cantrell last season.
Kujawa’s uncle, Paul, played fullback in the 1990s at Iowa, where he was a teammate of Hogs coach Bret Bielema. Tommy Kujawa is planning to take an official visit to Iowa the weekend after sojourning to Arkansas.

SEC Country will be on hand Thursday afternoon for the commitment announcement of Arkansas defensive back target Kamren Curl.
Curl (6-2, 180) is a 3-star safety from Muskogee (Okla.) High School. His decision is scheduled to be announced at 4 p.m. CT.

OL coach Anderson continues Ohio tour
Arkansas offensive line coach Kurt Anderson has been busy duing the past week recruiting some of the top 2018 offensive linemen in Ohio.
First, he made a stop by Fairfield High School to check out 5-star offensive tackle Jackson Carman. Anderson offered Carman (6-6, 300), the No. 1 offensive tackle in the class, the same day he visited the school and spoke with his coach.
On Wednesday, Anderson made a trip to East High School (Portsmouth, Ohio) to check in on 3-star guard Blaine Scott. The Hogs offered Scott (6-5, 300) last summer when he visited Fayetteville. He has an impressive list of 27 offers.
