The top 2018 football recruit in Arkansas has four SEC schools among his top 6 choices.
Earle High School 4-star QB Gerry Bohanon Jr. released his list Saturday afternoon with Arkansas, Baylor, Georgia, Louisville, Mississippi State and Ole Miss making the cut. He narrowed his list from 13 offers, making the announcement via Twitter.
Bohanon (6-foot-4, 220 pounds) passed for more than 2,500 yards and rushed in excess of 1,000 yards as a junior. Earle, a small town less than 30 miles west of Memphis, Tenn., is a Class 2A football school.
The Razorbacks’ chances of landing Bohanon increased considerably after the coaching staff verified in late April that it envisions him playing quarterback, his preferred position. Arkansas had previously been non-committal on a position, while every other school was pursing him as a quarterback. He’s also been viewed as a potential outside linebacker at the next level.
