Arkansas basketball landed its third commitment for the 2017 class on Saturday with the pledge of 4-star guard Khalil Garland.
The 6-foot-6, 195-pound prospect from Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview made the announcement on Twitter, stating he “followed his heart” by selecting the Razorbacks.

Garland is rated as the No. 2 player in the state and No. 123 in the nation. He was previously committed to Memphis before reopening his recruitment after coach Josh Pastner left for Georgia Tech.
He chose Arkansas over Alabama, Arkansas-Little Rock and LSU.
Arkansas now has commitments from three of the top four players in the state for the class. Garland joins 6-foot-9 forward Daniel Gafford (No. 1) from El Dorado and 6-foot-6 forward Darious Hall (No. 4) from Mills in Little Rock as 2017 commits.
