FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas true freshman fullback Hayden Johnson will play in Saturday’s clash with No. 1 Alabama, but he won’t start the game following his Sunday morning arrest for minor in possession of alcohol and public intoxication.
The 19-year old from Columbia, Mo., has started all five games so far this season for Arkansas.
Because of Johnson’s suspension, sophomore Kendrick Jackson will start at fullback for the Razorbacks against Alabama.
Johnson wasn’t listed on the Hogs’ updated depth chart Monday morning.
“Had a conversation with him yesterday,” Arkansas coach Bret Bielema said during his Monday morning news conference. “Obviously the good news is, he wasn’t driving or causing any harm. It’s gotta be a learning experience for him.”
Bielema called Johnson a “beautiful kid raised by beautiful people.”
