FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas coach Bret Bielema provided an injury update during his appearance on the SEC coaches teleconference Wednesday.
The following players were injured during the Hogs’ season opening win over Louisiana Tech.
- Redshirt freshman tight end Austin Cantrell is 100 percent and practicing.
- Junior wide receiver Jared Cornelius was limited during Tuesday’s practice, but is expected to be “full go” by Saturday’s big non-conference game at TCU, Bielema said.
Bielema also provided an update on senior cornerback DJ Dean, who suffered a hamstring injury during fall camp and did not play in the season opener. He said Dean will be “good to go” at TCU Saturday.
Dean went through pregame warmups before the Louisiana Tech game, but did not play. His presence is even more important after junior Kevin Richardson II suffered a season ending pectoral tear against the Bulldogs.
