FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas didn’t perform particularly well as the Hogs were overwhelmed in a 49-30 loss to Alabama last Saturday.
The crowd at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, at least in the first half, was one of the few impressive positives for the Hogs in the loss.
On Monday, coach Bret Bielema thanked those in attendance for their support and hoped for the same this Saturday against Mississippi.
“I want to say thanks to the fans,” Bielema said. “I know they put a lot into it. Our administration did as well. It was a very loud and active environment. Unfortunately, we didn’t play well enough to get it full volume all the time. I appreciate that. Hopefully (the crowd will) show up in the same form this week against Ole Miss, a very talented football team that had two setbacks early, obviously, but a very, very good FB team.”
The crowd of 75,459 last Saturday was the fifth largest for a game at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
