AUBURN, Ala. — Arkansas quarterback Austin Allen began feeling tightness late in the Hogs’ 56-3 loss to Auburn and left the game a second time. Allen originally left in the first half with an apparent injury to his right knee, but returned on the next series.
Redshirt freshman and backup Ty Storey played when Allen was out of the game.
“They did all those tests or whatever they can do to allow him to come back in there,” said Arkansas coach Bret Bielema. “The reason we pulled him at the end, it started swelling up on him and getting a little tight.
“Don’t know the full extent of that.”
Allen was not made available to reporters for the first time this season after a game.
Also, starting right tackle Brian Wallace left the game with a foot injury late in the fourth quarter.
“Brian Wallace felt something in his foot happen there at the end,” Bielema said. “We probably won’t have full answers on that until tomorrow, but it was a foot injury.”
