FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas’ coaching staff has remained persistent in the pursuit of 4-star defensive back Brad Stewart. Those efforts are continually paying off with the Razorbacks now among final three choices for the New Orleans native.
Stewart (6-foot, 194 pounds) told SEC Country on Sunday he’s looking only at Arkansas, Arizona State and Florida with National Signing Day less than two weeks away.
Arkansas coaches made an in-home visit to Stewart, from McDonogh 35 High School (New Orleans), last week despite the Razorbacks not being listed among his top six choices last month.
Stewart then opted to take an official visit this weekend, which he says he enjoyed. He spent much of the weekend with his cousin — freshman linebacker Giovanni LaFrance.
Stewart is a consensus 4-star prospect according to the major recruiting sites. He’s been listed as both a cornerback and safety recruit. He’s a candidate to play either spot in college.
The Razorbacks currently have 22 commits/signees in the 2017 class.
