FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Welcome to SEC Country’s daily Arkansas Borderline Erotic podcast, the most-listened-to Razorbacks podcast in the country. In this episode, John Nabors talks about two teams in the SEC that have received way too much hype … and for no apparent reason.
SEC Country launched the Borderline Erotic Podcast on Aug. 29, 2016. It is named after the colorful way coach Bret Bielema described how he felt after Arkansas defeated Texas in the 2014 Texas Bowl.
Here is a rundown of some topics discussed in the 236th episode of the Borderline Erotic Podcast:
Arkansas football: The most-overhyped teams in the SEC
Nabors started the podcast by discussing how Auburn and LSU seem to be getting a lot of praise from the media for absolutely no reason. Predictions are common during the summer, especially at SEC Media Days. But for whatever reason, the media has hopped on the train of these two teams going right into Atlanta for the conference title game. Obviously, people like to give their hot takes and step out on limbs, but at least have something to back up the claims.
Nonsense: Happy anniversary, Renee Gork!
In the nonsensical part of the podcast, Nabors brings up the nonsensical story of Renee Gork getting fired for wearing a Florida Gators hat to a news conference. Bobby Petrino was the coach of Arkansas in 2010 when a radio station employee came to the presser. She thought it would be a good idea to wear a Gators hat, but Petrino thought otherwise and called her out on it.
