FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas sophomore Kendrick Jackson has switched positions from linebacker to fullback, coach Bret Bielema announced Monday.
Jackson appeared in 11 games at fullback last season, starting one, before switching positions in the offseason.
Jackson’s move gives the Razorbacks more depth at the position, as true freshman Hayden Johnson had been the only fullback working with the first team so far in fall camp.
With outside linebacker Josh Williams returning from a season-ending injury sustained in 2015 and the emergence of true freshman De’Jon Harris as a backup to starter Brooks Ellis at middle linebacker, the Razorbacks could afford to move Jackson back to fullback.
