Another Lindsey is heading to Arkansas.
Jack Lindsey, the son of former Arkansas running back Jim Lindsey, committed to his father’s alma mater on Wednesday.
Lindsey will join the Razorbacks’ 2016 signing class as a preferred walk-on, he announced on Twitter.
“First I would like to thank God for giving me the chance to play football,” Lindsey wrote. “Not everyone is able to do that and it’s a real blessing. I would next like to thank my friends, family and coaches that have impacted my life and made me the person I am today. With that being said I will further my education and athletic career at the University of Arkansas as a preferred walk on. Go Hogs!”
Lindsey, an unrated pro-style quarterback, hails from Springdale (Fayetteville, Ark.) High School. He joins three-star prospect Cole Kelley as the other quarterback signee in Arkansas’ Class of 2016.
Jim Lindsey played running back for the Razorbacks from 1963-65 and helped guide the team to a national championship in ‘64.
