Arkansas running back Alex Collins announced Sunday that he will not be returning next season and it appears that Jordan Carmouche will not be in Fayetteville, Ark., in 2016 either.
The three-star outside linebacker from Manvel (Texas) High School committed to Arkansas on Oct. 31, but announced late Sunday night that he will reopen his recruitment.
“After much prayer and consideration I have decided to decommit from the University of Arkansas and open my recruitment back up,” Carmouche tweeted Sunday
The 6-foot-1, 230-pounder holds 22 reported offers, including Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri and LSU, among others. Carmouche’s de-commitment leaves three-star Alexy Jean-Baptiste as the Razorbacks’ only outside linebacker commitment for the Class of 2016.
Carmouche is rated at the nation’s No. 40 outside linebacker and the state of Texas’ No. 82 player, according to 247Sports’ composite ranking.
