Cal commit Nick Alftin ready to see what Arkansas has to offer
Nick Alftin has heard all the positives about playing at Arkansas.
Relaying the information has been Keith Burns, his coach at Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.). Burns is a former Razorbacks player and assistant coach.
Alftin, a 3-star defensive end, recently decided he’d heard all he needed and began planning a trip 1,800 miles east. He’ll arrive in Fayetteville, Ark., on Monday to check out the campus.
“My head coach talks very highly of (Arkansas),” Alftin told SEC Country. “I had to see it for myself.”
Alftin is 6-foot-5, 225 pounds. He had 50 tackles, 19 for losses, and 7.5 sacks last season. He committed to Cal in late March. He also holds offers from San Jose State and Wyoming, and he visited Boise State earlier this week.
