FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Welcome to SEC Country’s daily Arkansas Razorbacks podcast. On this episode, we talked about the Arkansas defense, the tight end battle and more.
SEC Country launched the Borderline Erotic Podcast on Aug. 29, 2016. It is named after the colorful way Arkansas coach Bret Bielema described how he felt after beating Texas in the 2014 Texas Bowl.
Here is a quick rundown on some of the topics we discuss on this, the 151st episode of the Borderline Erotic Podcast.
Ramsey perfect for 3-4
Trent Shadid, Jason Kersey and John Nabors began this episode by discussing our Tuesday night interviews with Arkansas football players. Specifically, we spent a good amount of time talking about linebacker Randy Ramsey, who seems built to play in the new Arkansas 3-4 defensive scheme. What about Ramsey makes him so seemingly perfect for this system?
Who’s next at tight end?
Then, we talked about the Arkansas tight ends. Is this finally the time that sophomore and Fayetteville High product Cheyenne O’Grady will begin to live up to his potential? Despite the fact that there isn’t an obvious No. 1 tight end on the roster right now, there is plenty of talent at that position. And things will get even better once junior-college transfer Jeremy Patton arrives.
A new kicker in town
We then discussed new preferred walk-on commit Blake Mazza, who announced he would be a Razorback on Tuesday morning. Mazza is going to have the opportunity to play any number of roles for the Hogs, considering all the problems they’ve had with special teams the last few years.
