FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Welcome to SEC Country’s daily Arkansas Razorbacks podcast with Jason Kersey and Trent Shadid. On this episode, we were joined by a special guest to talk spring football and the end of Arkansas’ basketball season.
SEC Country launched the Borderline Erotic Podcast on Aug. 29, 2016. It is named after the colorful way Arkansas coach Bret Bielema described how he felt after beating Texas in the 2014 Texas Bowl.
Here is a quick rundown on some of the topics we discussed on this, the 137th episode of the Borderline Erotic Podcast.
Spring football off and running
We were joined on this episode by our good friend and local radio host John Nabors. We open the podcast by discussing the first interviews of spring football and, in particular, the returning players’ seeming disgust with the way last season ended.
The guys also discuss Frank Ragnow’s thoughts about the Belk Bowl loss being “a blessing.” Was that the right way to describe it?
We also get into the transition to the 3-4 defense.
Did Anderson earn fan respect with how hoops season ended?
We also get John’s thoughts on the end of Arkansas’ basketball season. It seemed at one point in the season that coach Mike Anderson might have lost the fan base, but he appears to have earned them back with how the Hogs finished.
To John, Anderson really started earning back that fan respect by the way he defended Moses Kingsley against ESPN broadcaster Dick Vitale. That kind of “us-against-the-world” attitude that Arkansas fans respond to, John said.
And finally, John gave us a little preview of his upcoming project called “Stuck in a Car With John Nabors.” The first episode will be released soon.
