Allen rolled out to his right and sustained what was announced as a “bruised chest muscle.” Several Arkansas athletic trainers gathered around the Razorbacks starter, then looked at him underneath a medical tent.
According to the television broadcast, Allen was having trouble breathing.
Backup quarterback and redshirt freshman Ty Storey warmed up on the sideline, but after a bit, Allen emerged from the medical tent and began loosening up himself. He didn’t miss any time with the apparent injury.
After Allen’s injury, kicker Cole Hedlund hit a field goal to give the Hogs a 10-7 second-quarter lead.
