FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Welcome to SEC Country’s daily Arkansas Razorbacks podcast. In this episode, John Nabors breaks down why the Arkansas athletic program has high demands.
SEC Country launched the Borderline Erotic Podcast on Aug. 29, 2016. It is named after the colorful way Bret Bielema described how he felt after Arkansas beat Texas in the 2014 Texas Bowl.
Here is a quick rundown of some of the topics we discussed in the 202nd episode of the Borderline Erotic Podcast:
The Arkansas program demands a lot of itself
John opens the podcast discussing the demands the Razorbacks set for themselves, and how it got to be that way. Since Arkansas is the biggest school in the state, a lot of support is given to it. Athletics has always taken precedence when it comes to private boosters donating money, so with that high amount, many feel like the expectation gets elevated for success. Money doesn’t always equal success, but it definitely equals demand. How did the program get this way and how long will it last?
Nonsense: How do you decide on which team to root for?
In the nonsensical part of the podcast, John brings up the latest nonsensical story of watching big games not involving your favorite team and who to root for. With Florida beating LSU in the College World Series two nights ago, it was hard for Hogs fans to decide who to root for. So John gives his formula to deciding which team you would want to win in any given game.
