FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Welcome to SEC Country’s daily Arkansas Razorbacks podcast. In this episode, John Nabors is joined by Trent Shadid as they discuss Bret Bielema’s calculated moves as head coach.
SEC Country launched the Borderline Erotic Podcast on Aug. 29, 2016. It is named after the colorful way Bielema described how he felt after beating Texas in the 2014 Texas Bowl.
Here is a quick rundown of some of the topics we discussed in the 170th episode of the Borderline Erotic Podcast.
Is Bret Bielema as calculated in his actions as he puts on?
John and Trent open up the podcast talking about Bret Bielema’s ability to use hindsight to his benefit. In the latest SEC teleconference, Bielema talked about how he felt he had a “coordinator in waiting” with the hire of Paul Rhoads. There were always rumors about tension within the defensive staff in 2016, but comments like what Bielema made seems to solidify those rumors. There has been more instances with Bielema in his tenure at Arkansas than just the Rhoads hire. John and Trent talk about those instances and if they are more preventative or reactionary.
John also has Trent give a recruiting update on the 2018-2019 class. Arkansas coaches have been hitting the ground hard in the recruiting trail during the offseason period.
Nonsense: UFC fighter proposes after getting the crap kicked out of her
In the last nonsensical part of the podcast, John brings up the story of a UFC fighter that proposed to her girlfriend after getting beat mercilessly by her opponent. There are many different ways to proposed to a loved one, but after getting destroyed in the octagon doesn’t seem to be one of them.
