FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Welcome to SEC Country’s daily Arkansas Razorbacks podcast. In this episode, John Nabors discusses Arkansas scheduling Notre Dame in football and Reggie Perry reopening his recruiting.
SEC Country launched the Borderline Erotic Podcast on Aug. 29, 2016. It is named after the colorful way Bret Bielema described how he felt after Arkansas beat Texas in the 2014 Texas Bowl.
Here is a quick rundown of some of the topics we discussed in the 208th episode of the Borderline Erotic Podcast:
Arkansas and Notre Dame to play in 2020 and 2025
John opens the podcast with the huge news of the Razorbacks scheduling the Fighting Irish for the first time in program history. With Michigan cancelling its series with Arkansas in 2019 and 2020, Hogs fans were hoping to get a big-name team to replace the Wolverines. It doesn’t get much bigger than the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
The game in 2020 will take place in South Bend, then it’ll be back to Fayetteville in 2025. Get excited Hogs fans, you may not see Arkansas schedule a great matchup like this for a while.
Reggie Perry de-commits from the Hogs
John also brings up the huge recruiting blow Arkansas basketball got hit with last night. Five-star power forward Reggie Perry has reopened his recruitment after being committed to Arkansas for months.
The excitement was at an all-time high for Razorbacks basketball not only this year, but for the coming years. This is a major downer for the 2018 class, but can Mike Anderson recover on the recruiting side of things?
Nonsense: Beware of the tarantula hawk wasp
In the nonsensical part of the podcast, John brings up the latest nonsensical story about a type of wasp being seen around the southern part of the United States. It’s called a tarantula hawk wasp and it’s petrifying. Experts say if you get stung by one of these, the only way to handle it is to “lie down and scream.”
