FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas running back Chase Hayden is expected to miss a significant amount of time with a lower leg injury.

Razorbacks coach Bret Bielema announced the injury following Arkansas’ 52-20 loss to Auburn on Saturday night. Bielema declined to provide any further specifics about the injury. Hayden had 2 carries for 42 yards and a reception for 23 yards before being removed from the game.

“I don’t want to comment on Chase until I know for sure,” Bielema said. “I know it’s a lower leg injury and haven’t confirmed anything else there.”

Hayden, a true freshman from Memphis, Tenn., has rushed for 338 yards and 4 touchdowns on 61 attempts for an average of 5.3 yards per carry.
