FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas senior running back Kody Walker hasn’t played since early October after suffering what was believed to be a career-ending foot injury. However, Walker has returned to practice for the Hogs as they prepare to face Virginia Tech on Dec. 29 in the Belk Bowl.
Arkansas coach Bret Bielema said Monday there is an “outside chance” Walker plays against the Hokies. Bielema added it would be “fun” to see him return to the field for his final game.
“I know he wants to pursue an opportunity to play in the NFL and it’s good to see that’ll come sooner than later,” Bielema said.
The sixth-year senior has 31 carries for 110 yards and a touchdown in six games with one start this season. He has 179 carries, 754 yards and 14 touchdowns in his career. His most recent surgery earlier in October was his eighth in his six seasons.
