Arkansas tight end Jeremy Sprinkle is ready to go against LSU.
The Hogs’ fourth-leading receiver has been bothered by an ankle injury since just before the Oct. 15 matchup against Ole Miss, limiting him to five catches over his last three games. Sprinkle looked much better last week against Florida, catching three balls for 51 yards and now in a tweet, he’s got a bad news for LSU fans hoping he’d be limited on Saturday. Sprinkle later deleted the tweet.
Sprinkle has 23 catches for 266 yards this season, good for third and fourth, respectively, in the SEC.
The Razorbacks will need Sprinkle in order to take down an LSU team that has played inspired under interim head coach Ed Orgeron. LSU’s defense is poised to give Austin Allen and the Arkansas passing attack some trouble — their 196.9 yards per game allowed through the air ranks 26th in the FBS.
Arkansas is trying to extend its winning streak over LSU to three games for the first time since 1929. LSU leads the all-time series 37-22-2. The game is slated to kick off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN in Fayetteville, Ark.
