FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — DeSoto (Texas) 2018 cornerback Byron Hanspard II tells SEC Country he now lists Arkansas as his top choice after visiting the Razorbacks’ campus Tuesday.
Hanspard (6-foot-1, 180 pounds) is a 4-star recruit by the 247Sports’ composite rankings. He told SEC Country last month Arkansas, LSU, Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas Tech were equal on his list of top choices. Now, it appears the Razorbacks may be pulling away as he looks to make a decision.
Hanspard has described Arkansas as a “family environment” and felt the urge to commit during his first visit to Fayetteville last November.
“Talking to some of the coaches, they are really just down to earth,” Hanspard previously told SEC Country. “It was nothing too big-headed or anything like that. They were just some of the coolest coaches you could ever meet and talk to.”
The Razorbacks currently have three commits in the class after 3-star tight end Luke Ford announced his pledge Tuesday following a two-day visit to Arkansas. He joins 4-star quarterback Connor Noland and 4-star linebacker Bumper Pool on the Hogs’ commit list.
