FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas senior wide receiver Keon Hatcher returned to practice Wednesday and is expected to be able to play against Alabama on Saturday.
Hatcher missed the Hogs’ 52-10 win over Alcorn State last week with a sore hamstring. He sustained the injury the previous week in a loss to Texas A&M.
“He went out today and practiced a little bit,” said wide receivers coach Michael Smith. “We are very cautious with him, but he thinks it’s full go this weekend.”
Hatcher is second on the team in receiving yards (281) and touchdowns (3). He leads the team in receiving yards per game (70.2) and yards per catch (20.1).
“If Keon can’t go, I’m sure one of those guys will step up in his spot,” quarterback Austin Allen said. “But if he can go, he’ll be getting the ball.”
