FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas senior wide receiver Cody Hollister will not play in the Belk Bowl after having foot surgery.
Coach Bret Bielema announced the injury during a press conference Monday.
Hollister played in all 12 games this season with 10 receptions for 140 yards. He also had 2 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown.
Hollister’s absence may be most evident on special teams. He had 8 tackles while playing on punt and kick coverage units. At the team banquet Friday, he was named one of Arkansas’ special teams MVPs along with punter Toby Baker.
The Hogs will face Virginia Tech at 5:30 p.m. ET (ESPN) in Charlotte.
