FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas senior wide receiver Drew Morgan practiced fully Wednesday and is expected to play Saturday against Mississippi, according to wide receivers coach Michael Smith.
Morgan practice only partially Tuesday as a result of being sore from a back bruise he sustained in a loss to Alabama last Saturday. He tried to return to the game against the Crimson Tide, but was eventually forced to sit out much of the fourth quarter.
“We held him yesterday for a couple periods, but he went today,” Smith said Wednesday. “He’ll be fine (for Saturday).”
Arkansas coach Bret Bielema said Monday that Morgan had X-rays after the game that came back negative and described him as “really, really sore.”
Morgan leads the team with 33 receptions. He has one touchdown and 344 yards.
“He’s practicing well,” said quarterback Austin Allen. “Drew is Drew. He’s a big-time ballplayer and he’s a tough kid.”
