Arkansas WR Jared Cornelius to return to play four weeks removed from gruesome injury
Arkansas wide receiver Jared Cornelius suffered a gruesome forearm injury on Sept. 19 against Texas Tech. He’s already slated to be back on the field this week.
Cornelius, a sophomore from Shreveport, La., was listed at the No. 1 spot for the third wide receiver position on this week’s depth chart, which was released Monday. Arkansas coach Bret Bielema said at his weekly press conference that it is to be determined how much, if at all, Cornelius can play, but that the prognosis appears good that he will play in some capacity barring any unforeseen circumstances during practice this week.
Cornelius has seven receptions for 150 yards and a touchdown in his three games this season.
