SANDESTIN, Florida — The SEC vs. Big Ten battle on satellite camps is over.
Now the SEC is eating itself.
“Everybody thought it was going to be the SEC vs (Big Ten) and now it turns into SEC vs. (SEC),” Arkansas coach Bret Bielema said at the SEC’s spring meetings. “We’re all carnivores. We’re all looking to attack and hunt.”
Arkansas attempted to schedule satellite camps in Louisiana and Texas, where the Razorbacks pulled out of a satellite camp at AT&T Stadium.
“I was set to go into Louisiana and Texas and sheets got pulled out from under me,” he said.
Arkansas is scheduled to participate in satellite camps in Houston, Atlanta, Tampa and Detroit, Bielema said. The dynamic between the coaches as they raid rivals’ states is certainly interesting.
“There’s a lot of intraconference struggles to say the least,” Bielema said.
