Bret Bielema is a proud papa. And he should be.
The Arkansas coach is less than a week into fatherhood, but he’s already having fun with his newborn daughter.
On Wednesday, just two days after kicking things off at the 2017 SEC Media Days in Hoover, Ala., Bielema tweeted out a photo of his daughter Briella with the caption “My first #selfie. What do you think?”
And it’s absolutely adorable:
Bielema and wife Jen proudly announced the birth of their first child on Saturday, but this is our first peek at the newest addition with her eyes open.
The Arkansas coach was proud to talk about his child in Hoover, and even received some sound advice from Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen.
The one thing I think he’s going to learn is how to make sure you balance your life and balance your life out,” Mullen said on Tuesday. “And I think it’s going to change him an awful lot. You know, the greatest thing you have is, you know, win or lose on a Saturday, you’re going to come home to a family that loves you.”
Razorbacks QB Austin Allen also chimed in, saying he thought his coach would be losing some sleep as most parents of newborns tend to do.
“I really don’t think he got that much sleep already as it is,” Allen said on Monday. “And now, he’s really not getting much sleep. It’s a really special time for him. I’m really excited to see him as a father.”
