If any press is good press, this piece on Arkansas athletic facilities has to be considered “great press.”
Arkansas coach Bret Bielema is surely pleased with the rave reviews the Razorbacks athletic facilities received in a recent article from Forbes writer Kristi Dosh.
Right in the thick of recruiting season, Dosh gushed about her recent experience touring the Arkansas campus, comparing it favorably to the SEC opponents that Bielema and staff are actively trying to sell their campus against.
Dosh confessed she had less than stellar expectations for her trip to Fayetteville beforehand: “I’ll admit that Arkansas was pretty low on my “must-visit” list, she wrote. “In fact, I visited 11 other SEC campuses first.”
But SEC visit No. 12 turned out to be quite the treat for Dosh, who specified the Fowler Family Baseball and Track Training Center and Bogle Park as areas of interest in her piece, but she also loved both the Fred W. Smith Football Center and Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium as well.
“I can imagine it’s a pretty impressive sight for recruits,” Dosh wrote about the glass-enclosed weight room at the football center. “I was told on my tour that the red carpet has a recruiting “route” theme. It begins at the weight room where a student-athlete trains and develops, runs through the football operation facility out to the stadium where they perform, blending into the red brick path just outside the glass walls of the training facility.”
