This is a good problem to have.
Stacy Lewis, a former Arkansas golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour, had such a strong outing at the Rio Olympics on Thursday that she lost count of how many birdies she racked up on Olympic Golf Course. Lewis made 11 birdies to climb atop the leaderboard following an 8-under 63.
Here are more details, courtesy of The Associated Press:
Lewis made so many birdies she lost count. She wasn’t aware of her score until she signed her card. The American was at 9-under 133 after two rounds and had a one-shot lead over Britain’s Charley Hull.
To think, Lewis’ score would have been even better without a double bogey on the 14th hole. However, she closed in a big way by totaling four birdies before leaving for the day.
Talk about a good day at the office.
