Alex Collins shouldered the load for the Arkansas backfield last season and now he will try to make his mark in the NFL.
The Seattle Seahawks drafted Collins with the 171st overall pick in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Partially due to injuries, Collins carried the ball 271 times for the Razorbacks last season, totaling 20 touchdowns and 1,577 rushing yards. He finished his college career with 3,703 yards and 36 touchdowns in three seasons.
Jonathan Williams, Collins’ former running mate at Arkansas, was taken earlier in the fifth round by the Buffalo Bills.
Collins, a Florida native, never missed a game during his Arkansas career. He will hope to have similar dependability with the Seahawks.
