Former Arkansas wide receiver Kendrick Edwards will transfer to Arkansas State, he announced Wednesday afternoon on Twitter.

Edwards was a three-star prospect out of Miami (Fla.) Norland High School in the recruiting class of 2014. He was dismissed from the team in the spring of 2015 for undisclosed team rules violations, but reinstated a few months later in the summer.
Bielema announced Edwards’ permanent dismissal — along with that of fellow receiver Jojo Robinson — in the middle of last season.
Edwards appeared in seven games for the Razorbacks, catching eight career passes for 121 yards and a touchdown. He will sit out this season at Arkansas State, per NCAA rules, and then have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
