FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas coach Bret Bielema insists he isn’t a superstitious guy.
But that doesn’t mean he won’t stick with something that worked.
Despite normally having his team stay in a different hotel each time it visits the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, this weekend it will be in a familiar spot: The same hotel as two weeks ago.
Two weeks ago, you’ll recall, Arkansas beat TCU 41-38 in double overtime, a victory that catapulted the Hogs into the national rankings. The Razorbacks face Texas A&M on Saturday at 9 p.m. ET inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
“Every time we’ve been in Dallas, we’ve been to a different hotel,” Bielema said on his weekly radio show Thursday night. “I want to change the mojo, so we switched it up. We’ve gotta win, so we’re going right back to that hotel.
“Everybody’s in the same exact room and is wearing the same thing. We’re not superstitious, but when you find something that works you stick with it.”
Arkansas has lost four straight games to the Aggies. The last two years, the Razorbacks held a fourth quarter lead before losing in overtime.
