New Arkansas coach Chad Morris has been making big splashes in the recruiting game lately, and his latest could be the biggest in terms of name recognition. Morris hosted Bob Stoops’ son, Isaac Stoops, on an official visit this weekend.

According to SEC Country’s Trent Shadid, Arkansas is offering Stoops as a preferred walk-on. He does not currently hold any Power-5 offers, but he was very productive at Norman North High School during his prep career.
Stoops is an athlete and has played both cornerback and receiver to this point in his career. In his one year at WR, he caught 45 passes for 916 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also has four career interceptions.
He’s listed at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds and is a 2-star athlete according to 247Sports. His twin brother, Drake, recently committed to Oklahoma as a preferred walk-on.
There would be a certain amount of irony at play if Stoops were to choose an SEC program for his college ball. Bob Stoops famously put down the SEC after defeating Alabama in the 2014 Sugar Bowl. He ended his stint with the Sooners with four straight wins against SEC programs, a streak that came to an end in Oklahoma’s classic Rose Bowl loss to Georgia in this year’s postseason.
Isaac has scholarship offers from Army, Central Oklahoma, Drake and Youngstown State. He’s also received interest from OU, Nevada, Navy and Kentucky.
